| Bio |
Julia is a 24 year old Trent graduate currently living in Peterborough Ontario. Julia
is optimistic, open minded and creative, involved in poetry, art, music, yoga, meditation and dance. Julia currently
works and lives seasonally on Pelee Island where she manages Scudder Beach Bar and Grill.
In the off season, Julia focuses her energies on more creative endeavours. Showing amazing musical capabilites
since childhood, Julia learned to play a number of musical instruments including recorder, flute, piano and guitar
and at writes her own music.
Part of an extremely creative family, Julia is fortunate enough to be related to many of her creative influences.
Julia's mother, Beth Girdler,
is a talented watercolour artist, her father, John Davie, an accomplished guitar player, her sister, Amy
Davie, a fantastic acrylic and graphic artist, her thirteen year old brother,
Colin Francey, a gifted cartoonist and bass player and her step
father, David Francey, a two time
JUNO award winning folk singer/song writer.
Other musical influences include Joni Mitchell, Fiona Apple,
Ani Difranco, Billy Holiday, Feist, the Waifs and
much much more.
Julia is thrilled about being asked to sing harmony on David Francey's newest CD, Right of Passage, and perform at Hugh's room in Toronto for the CD release party. |
